RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO ENVIRONMENTAL
SYSTEMS RESEARCH INSTITUTE (ESRI) IN THE AMOUNT OF
$29,326 FOR THE PURCHASE OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
SYSTEM SOFTWARE AND RELATED TRAINING FOR THE PLANNING
DIVISION; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a need has developed to more effectively and efficiently involve the
public in issues related to transportation, and property owner notification related to
notifying the public of proposed actions that may affect the use and enjoyment of
property; and
WHEREAS, a proposal has been received and reviewed from a company
providing a geographic information system that will meet the needs of the City and MPO
to accomplish these purposes, and that such moneys have been budgeted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is hereby given to purchase the necessary software
to accomplish the stated goals herein.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
