ORDINANCE NO. 1646
AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING RATES AND
CHARGES TO BE CHARGED FOR SALES OF NATURAL GAS
TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH SUCH
RATES AND CHARGES MAY BE CHXIGED AND AMENDED, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS WHICH ARE IN CONFLICT WITH THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Effective with the first gas bills rendered
after the date of passage and approval of this ordinance the
rates and charges for sales of natural gas and natural gas
service rendered to residential and commercial consumers with-
in the city limits of Wichita Falls by Lone Star Gas Company, a
Texas corporation, its successors and assigns, are hereby fixed
and determined to be as follows:
Minimum Monthly Bill . . . . . $.50
First 600 cu. ft. @ $.17 per c.c.f. gross; $.153 per c.c.f. net.
All Over 600 cu. ft. @ $.7833 per m.c.f. gross; $.705' per m.c.f. net.
Net rate shall apply to all bills paid within ten days from
monthly billing date.
Except with respect to rates, all charges for natural gas
service now in effect shall remain in effect unchanged.
The above rates and charges are applicable to each resi-
dential and commercial consumer per month or for any part of a
month for which gas is used at the same location.
SECTION 2. The rates and charges set forth in Section 1
may be changed and amended by either the City or the company
furnishing gas in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 3. Any and all ordinances of the City of Wichita
Falls which are in conflict with any of the terms and provisions
of this ordinance shall be and the same are to the extent of such
conflict only hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance is hereby introduced and public
hearings thereon are set for the 8th day of Jbnei 19.53..
at 8:00 P.M. in the Council am er of the City of Wichita
Falls, —Tex a s , and f or the 15th day of June , 1953
at the same place.
After public hearings having been duly had on the within,,�
