RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 AND NO. 3 AND
ACCEPT THE ARROWHEAD RAW WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM PUMP
STATION MODIFICATIONS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO F.G. HAGGERTY PLUMBING COMPANY; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a lump sum contract with F.G.
Haggerty Plumbing Company with the estimated total cost of $1,854,000.00; and
WHEREAS, previously one Change Order has been approved for this project
increasing the estimated cost to $1,877,034.20; and
WHEREAS, two additional Change Orders are required at a total estimated cost
of $23,270.14; and
WHEREAS, with the approval of Change Order No. 2 and No. 3, the actual work
was completed at a total cost of $1,900,304.34 of which $1,841,592.73 has been
previously paid to the Contractor, leaving an amount due of $58,711.61; and
WHEREAS, the City Staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 2 and No. 3 are approved and the Arrowhead
Raw Water Supply System Pump Station Modification Project is hereby accepted and
the City Manager is authorized to execute Change Order No. 2 and No. 3 and make
final payment to the Contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
