RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE FM
2380 UTILITY RELOCATION PROJECT; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has entered into a contract for the
construction of the FM 2380 Utility Relocation Project with Jalyn Construction; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation requires that the sanitary
sewer lines crossing FM 2380 be bored and cased and a water line location must be
modified for future construction; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of these changes is $22,170.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Change Order No. 1 for the FM 2380 Relocation Project in the
amount of $22,170.00 is approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.

RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WICHITA FALLS
REQUESTING THAT THE TEXAS TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
ADD US 281 TO THE TEXAS TRUNK SYSTEM FROM SAN ANTONIO
TO WICHITA FALLS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, US 281 satisfies a majority of the criteria for inclusion into the Texas
Trunk System, and further transcends the criteria by national importance to NAFTA
trade routes as a reliever to the IH -35 and US 59/I1-1-69 corridors; and
WHEREAS, inclusion of US 281 from San Antonio to Wichita Falls into the Texas
Trunk System affords the opportunity to significantly reduce congestion in the IH -35
corridor and therefore is in the best interest of Texas, and
WHEREAS, the addition of US 281 from San Antonio to Wichita Falls will
complete a link to IH -44 that will give complete Interstate access to the northeastern
United States, and
WHEREAS, the addition of US 281 between San Antonio and Wichita Falls into
the Texas Trunk System would significantly advance conformance plans of non -
attainment areas, provide unrestricted movement of freight and enhance the
opportunities for economic development in rural Texas; and
WHEREAS, there is broad support from cities, towns and counties along the US
281 corridor for inclusion of US 281 into the Texas Trunk System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby requests and encourages efforts by the
Texas Transportation Commission to include US 281 from San Antonio to Wichita Falls
on the Texas Trunk System.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls pledges its support and cooperation in
assisting the Texas Transportation Commission in its efforts to enhance this
improvement to the Texas Trunk System and Interstate System.
SECTION 3 It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
