Res 024-2001 3/20/2001RESOLUTION NO. 14 -),MI RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF EXCESS CITY PROPERTY ON FARM TO MARKET ROAD 2380 AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DEED TO CONVEY TITLE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns a 2.077 acres tract of land located on FM 2380, also known as Old Lake Road; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the 2.077 acre tract of land is needed for the widening of FM 2380 by the Texas Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the sale of this property produces no injurious effect to the City of Wichita Falls. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. As authorized by Chapter 272 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City of Wichita Falls shall sell the following described excess property located in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas: A 2.077 acre tract of land out of Day Land and Cattle Company Survey, Abstract 613; John A. Scott Survey, No. 6, Abstract 301 and being all of 1.838 acres conveyed from Jack C. Wessler, Trustee to City of Wichita Falls, Texas by deed recorded at volume 1045, page 574 Wichita County deed records and part of 0.467 acre conveyed from Texas Electric Service Company to City of Wichita Falls by deed recorded at volume 1045, page 572. Said tract is to be sold to the Texas Department of Transportation for the fair market value of $14,539.00. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the special warranty deed on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 201h day of March 2001.
