RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR ACQUISITION OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 900 NORTH ROSEWOOD CONSISTING OF
3.7465 ACRES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE AND FIRE
TRAINING CENTER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, City staff feels that the purchase of 900 North Rosewood is the best
location for the police and fire training center due to its high visibility, easy access,
availability, and affordability; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the City's best interest to
promote development in this area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to acquire property located
at 900 North Rosewood.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
