RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE PROPOSALS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE MPEC COLISEUM PROJECT; AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE MPEC BOARD, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$19,683,198; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ALL
APPROPRIATE CONTRACTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
MPEC COLISEUM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received proposals to build the
Coliseum component of the MPEC project, at a total project amount of $19,683,198;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said proposals should be accepted and
that said Coliseum should be constructed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls hereby accepts the proposals to build the
MPEC Coliseum, as recommended by the MPEC Board, in the amount of $19,683,198;
and authorizes the City Manager to sign all appropriate contracts to accomplish same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
