RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO THE
ADVANCED FUNDING AGREEMENT FOR AN URBAN STREET
PROJECT ON BARNETT ROAD BETWEEN ATHLETIC ROAD AND
LAKE SHORE DRIVE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desired to improve Barnett Road between
Athletic Road and Lake Shore Drive; and
WHEREAS, funding was available to the Texas Department of Transportation
under their Urban Street Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into an Advanced Funding
Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the reconstruction of
Barnett Road between Athletic Road and Lake Shore Drive; and
WHEREAS, the project has been completed and the additional cost to the City is
$97,994.54.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The additional $97,994.54 payment to the Texas Department of
Transportation is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
