'1'ION SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF 14ICHITA FALLS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEtMiTITH; A114D DECLARING ANT EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BDARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, due to the severe drought and water shortage it has
heretofore been necessary to restrict the use of water through the distributing
system owned, maintained and operated by the City of Wichita Falls Water Depart-
ment;
WHEREAS., the necessity for such restrictions have ceased to exist;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, that from and after this date subscribers for the use of
water out of all water mains owned and operated by the City of Wichita Falls, may
use such water as they see fit, without any restrictions as to time of use or the
amount of water used.
Any ordinance or portions of any ordinance in conflict herewith
is hereby expressly repealed.
WHEREAS, it is to the advantage of the City of Wichita Falls that
more water be sold by it than is now being consumed and it being to the public
interest that such water be consumed and it being to the public interest that
such water be consumed and used by subscribers through the City of Wichita Falls
Water Department services; and
WHEREAS, it is to the public benefit, both from a health and
financial standpoint that the use of water be increased, the same constitutes
an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after the date of
its passage.
