Ord 19-2015 5/5/2015Ordinance No. _19-2015__ Ordinance rezoning 9.55 acres out of parts of Block 10, Kemp & Newby Subdivision Cherokee County School Land, A-33 and parts of Block 4, Irrigation Subdivision from Single-Family Residential (SF-1) to General Commercial (GC) WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed rezoning request at its April 8, 2015 meeting, and voted unanimously to recommend approval of this request; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this rezoning request and has determined that the herein described zoning amendment is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: Approximately 9.55 acres of land, consisting of 2.13 acres of Block 10, Kemp & Newby Subdivision Cherokee County School Land, A-33 and 7.42 acres of Block 4, Irrigation Subdivision (1001 East Central Freeway), as depicted on the attached map herein incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “A”, is hereby rezoned from Single-Family Residential (SF-1) to General Commercial (GC).
