RESOLUTION NO. 04-2015
Resolution to amend the long -term parking rate from $10.00 per stay
to $2.00 per day at Wichita Falls Regional Airport
WHEREAS, the current long-term parking rate at Wichita Falls Regional Airport
is $10.00 per visit; and,
WHEREAS, the Jenny-to-Jet Exhibit and proposed food, beverage and gift shop
concessions require a modification to parking polices at Wichita Falls Regional Airport;
and,
WHEREAS, staff recommends to City Council to increase the long-term parking
rate to $2.00 per day, with an effective implementation date corresponding with the
arrival of new parking equipment scheduled to be in service by March of 2015 ; and,
WHEREAS, there will be a one hour period upon entering the long -term parking
lot where all patrons may exit the long-term parking lot free of charge; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is responsible for setting the fees, charges , and fare
structures for services rendered by the city .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls City Council hereby approves the amended long-term parking
rate from $10.00 per stay to $2.00 per day at Wichita Falls Regional Airport, with an
effective implementation date anticipated to be in March of 2015. Additionally, there will
be a one hour period upon entering the long -term parking lot where all patrons may exit
the long-term parking lot free of charge.
