Res 146-2014 12/16/2014 RESOLUTION NO. 146-2014 Resolution authorizing engineering, design, equipment, labor and installation of new tennis center lighting at Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Centers through t he Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Program from Musco Sports Lighting in the amount of $629,211.00 WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Code §252.022 exempts items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the State’s competitive bid ding requirements as follows: This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. . . (12) personal property sold:. . under an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing administered by a regional planning commission established under Chapter 391. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and , WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Musco Sports Lighting, through the Buy Board Purchasing Cooperative, offers the “best value” for the engineering, design, equipment and installation services for new tennis center lighting at Hamilton and Weeks Park Tennis Centers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary for engineering, design, equipment, labor and installation of new tennis center lighting at Weeks and Hamilton Tennis Centers through the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Program from Musco Sports Lighting, in the amount of $629,211.00.
