November meeting. Chairman will be Dennis Marquardt.
Unfinished Business:
1. Item 01 -13: Adding a Bicycle /Pedestrian Representative to TSC - a nomination
to approve Brad Altman as a new member to the TSC was passed unanimously.
Mark advised he would follow up with Mr. Altman to contact the City CIerk for
appointment.
2. 03 -14: Three Foot Traffic Ordinance - this would make drivers of motor
vehicles give a bicycle or pedestrian a safe clearance when passing. This is a
widely adopted practice for other cities. Mark Beauchamp presented a copy of
an ordinance from another city that will be forwarded to the City Attorney for
suggested approval by council. Mark also advised 24 states have passed this as
law. At the prior TSC meeting, Assistant City Attorney Peter Scott advised the
city's legal department looked over the information presented by the TSC. To
date, the Legal Department and the TSC have not reached an agreement on a
document to present to City Council. This item is still pending.

in the November meeting. Chairman will be Dennis Marquardt.

Items of Discussion:
Citizen Richard Stearnes : He resides on Polk Street at the corner of Ave G. Due
to changes associated with Zunday Elementary School traffic flow, he has no
parking at his home on Polk and Ave G during certain school hours. He does not
have a driveway and therefore, has to park on the street. This street was made a one
way and he has no access to his home and is having to park on Ave G at different

hours in the day. His concern is that his vehicle is out of view when parked on the
side street due to the school hours, is not visible from his residence, and is subject to
vandalism or theft. He is requesting the street be changed back to its original status
and the one way be moved one block down. Mark Beauchamp advised he would
review this information and then Mr. Stearnes would be recontacted.
There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned
at 2:30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
