ORDINANCE NO. 48-2014
Ordinance renaming the disconnected 175’ portion of Arthur Street
to Avenue E
WHEREAS, a request has been submitted to the City Council to change the
name of the 175’ disconnected portion of Arthur Street to Avenue E; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that emergency response times would be
enhanced with the elimination of disconnected cross streets ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, upon review of the request, finds that it is in the
public interest to rename 175’ disconnected portion of Arthur Street to Avenue E.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Arthur Street (as shown on the attachment map incorporated into this ordinance
as “Attachment A”) is hereby renamed Avenue E.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 21st day of October, 2014.
