RESOLUTION NO. 120-2014
Resolution authorizing the purchase of an Automated Check -in and
Sorter System for the Wichita Falls Public Library, through the
TXMAS Contract from Alpha Data Corporation in the amount of
$159,650.00
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022
exempts items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the
State’s competitive bidding requirements as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. . . (12) personal
property sold:. . under an interlocal contract for cooperative
purchasing administered by a regional planning commission
established under Chapter 391.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Alpha Data Corporation through the
TXMAS Contract offers the “best value” for the purchase of an Automated Check-In and
Sorter System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase an
Automated Check-In and Sorter System through the TXMAS Contract from Alpha Data
Corporation in the amount of $159,650 .00.
