RESOLUTION NO. 111-2014
Resolution authorizing the purchase of a CASE Loader Backhoe
through the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Cooperative
Purchasing Program from Construction Agricultural Supply
Company in the amount of $76,777.00
WHEREAS, Texas Local Government Local Government Code §252.022
exempts items purchased through interlocal cooperative purchasing contracts from the
State’s competitive bidding requirements as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditure for. . . (12) personal
property sold:. . under an interlocal contract for cooperative
purchasing administered by a regional planning commission
established under Chapter 391.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participati on in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Construction Agricultural Supply
Company is offering a CASE loader backhoe through the H-GAC Cooperative
Purchasing Program, and it is in the City’s best inter est to purchase equipment in
accordance with the Cooperative Purchasing Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase a CASE
Loader Backhoe through The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Cooperative
Purchasing Program From Construction Agricultural Supply Company, in the amount of
$76,777.00.
