Resolution Awarding Bid For The Purchase Of Two 35-Foot Low-
Floor Buses To Gillig Corporation In The Amount Of $743,282.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of two 35-foot low-floor buses;
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on May 6, 2011, and the bid
from Gillig Corporation was the lowest responsible bid and, as the only bid, was further
determined and verified to be competitive to similar bids offered and awarded on
contracts by a single bidder to other transit agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase finro 35-foot low-floor buses for
the Public Transportation Division's fleet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid for the purchase of finro 35-foot low-floor buses is awarded to Gillig
Corporation in the amount of $743,282.00, and City Staff are authorized to execute all
documents necessary to purchase said items in accordance with the bid specifications.
