ORDINANCE NO. 46-2014
Ordinance accepting grant funds from the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security for the 2014 Homeland Security Grant and
making budgetary appropriations in the special revenue fund of the
City in the amount of $25,643.00
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that it has bee n awarded $25,643.00 from
the 2014 State Homeland Security Program; and,
WHEREAS, the grant of $25,643.00 has been identified to support the City of
Wichita Falls, with $4,546 going to the Mobile Command unit in satellite service for
phone and internet emergency communications and $4,725 going to a Mobile Repeater
System for on-scene radio communications with the VHF Texas State Interoperability
Communications Plan. In addition, $16,372.00 is awarded for the Police Department
Tactical Team to purchase eighteen (18) Peltor Ballistic Helmet Microphone/Receivers
and two (2) night vision goggles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City hereby accepts the 2014 State Homeland Security Program in the
amount of $25,643.00 and appropriates said amount in the Special Revenue Fund of
the City to account for these expenditures.
