I q ti J AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA.FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIN LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THE SAME LYING IN A. SOUTHERLY DIRECTION FROM THE PRESENT LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA. FALLS, ALL OF WHICH ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE AND DECLAR- ING AN EMERGENCY: ( Edgemere South A.dd..) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARDOF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA. FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1: That the following described tract of land, located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby now ordered to be annexed to and to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls,'Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended to include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING -�at a point in the North line of Block No. 3, Cherokee County School Lands 1300.8 feet West of the NE corner-of said Block No. ,.3 and 575 `feet West of center line of U S,Highway No. 281;THENCE South 0 Deg.16 Min. r_°Vft�VE 514.5 feet .to a point;. THENCE South 2 deg. 31 min. East 593.7 feet to a point; THENCE North 89 deg. 48 min. West 2447.1 feet to a point in the West line of Block No. 3; THENCE North 0 deg. 15.min. West along West line of said Block No. 3 a distance of 1109.3 'feet to the NW corner of same .9 THENCE South 89 deg. 48 min. East along North line of Block No. 3'as fenced, a distance of 628.5 feet to a point; THENCE :South 0 deg. 22 rein. East 40 feet to a point; THENCE South 89 deg. 48 min. East 1170.3 feet to a point; THENCE North 0 deg. 22 mina West 40 feet to a pant; THENCE South 89 deg. 48 min.East 654 feet to the place of - beginning and containing 62.36 acres of land, more or less. SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3a of the amended charter of the City, of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is, on the 24th day of January, 1955, introduced,and the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one time'in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance maybe finally acted upon. SECTION 3. The fact that many people reside in the ter- ritory described in this ordinance who are unable to take advantage of city conveniences, fire and police protection, sanitary and health measures, creates an emergency and it is hereby declared that the foregoing ordinance is an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for peace, health and safety of property, and this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval. This ordinance having been introduced on the 24th day of January, 1955, and having been published in °a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,' to-wit- The Wichita Falls Record News, one time, to -wit: 'on the yg day of January, 1955, and seven days from such publication hav n elapsed, this ordinance is finally passed and approved this the .4 day of February, 1955.
