BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOY` =_' Cl;' J1>LU7- ,MEN OF THE CITY
OF IICHITA .FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I: That the following described tract of land,
located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby now
ordered to be annexed to and to be included within the corporate
limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate
limits be extended to include said tract of land in Wich k a County,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows:
Being situated in Block 2 of the Cherokee County School
lands, Abstract 33, Wichita County, Texas, more fully
described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 27 of the First
Supplemental Addition to the City-of Wichita Falls;
Thence easterly, along the south line of Norman Street
to the west line of U. S. Highway 281; -
Thence south along the west line of U. S. Highway, 281
to the south line of B1oc7� 2, Cherokee County School
Lands, A. 33;
Thence westerly along the said south line of Block 2,
Cherokee County 6chool Lands to the east line.of Florist
Street;
Thence northerly along the east line ofFlorist Street
to the southwest corner of Lot 34 of the First Supple- -
mental Addition to Park Place Addition to the City-of
Wichita Falls;
Thence easterly-along the south line of said Lot 34 to
the southeast corner of said Lot 34;
Thence northerly along the most easterly east line of
said Supplemental Addition to Park Place Addition to
the place of beginning and containing 95.3 acres more
or less.
SECTION Z. In conformity. with Section 3a of the amended
charter of the City-of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is,
on the 13th day of December, 1954, introduced, art% the City Clerk
is directed to publish said ordinance one time in a newspaper of
general circulation, published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
SECTION 3. The fact that many-people reside in the
territory described in this ordinance who are unable to take ad-
vantage of city-conveniences, fire and police protection, sanitary
and health measures, creates an emergency, and it is hereby de-
clared that the foregoing ordinance is ana emergency measure on
the grounds of urgent public need for peace, health and safety
of property, and this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 13th day of
December, 1954, and having been published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City-of 7,richita Falls, Texas, to -wit: The
Wichita Falls Record News, one time, to -wit: on the /-7c*ay of
December, 1954, and seven day's from such publication having elapsed,
