AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 179 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1641
THE SAME BEING THE.TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, BY ADDING SUBSECTION (c) TO SAID SECTION 179 DEFINING
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AS BEING THANKSGIVING.DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY,
NEW YEARS DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, INDEPENDENCE DAY AND LABOR DAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA,FALLS, TEXAS:
That Subsection (c) is hereby added to Section 179
of Ordinance No. 1641, the same being the Traffic Code of
The City of Wichita Falls, Texas by adding thereto as follows:
(c) Public Holidays as used in Section (a) above
shall mean the following days only:
The last Thursday in November,or Thanksgiving Day;
December 25th, or Christmas Day;
January 1st; or New Years Day;
!May,': 30th, or Memorial Day;
July 4th,'or Independence.Day;
First Monday in September,.or Labor Day.
When any one of the above days fall on Sunday, the
Monday following such day shall be declared a holiday.
