Ord 1745 11/28/1955ORDINANCE NUMBER AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS; ALL OF WHICH ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. (Singleton Addition - Second Section) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF .ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the following described tract of land located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be annexed and included within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the corper ate limits be ex- tended to include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas,the same being more particularly described as follows: BEING 16.5 acres, more or less, out of the'J. A. Scott Survey No. 8, Abstract 294, Wichita County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING in the East line of J. A. Scott Survey No.8 and 16t North of the Southeast,corner of same; THENCE North 800 50t West along the North line of State Farm to Market Road.No. 369, 18121 to a point; THENCE North 250 511 West 430.41.to a point in the Southeast property line of Lake Park Drive; THENCE East 640 091 along said property line of Lake Park Drive 6871 to the beginning of a curve; THENCE Northeasterly along a curve to the left with a.radius of 14371, a distance of 163.71 to a point; THENCE along the..South line of Singleton Addition, First Section, as follows: South 310 451 East 1351; North 550 471 East 201; South 330 041 East 1301; South 400 191 East 50.51; South 330 041 East 1301; North 530 141 East 12t;, South 340 38! East 130!; South 260 381 East 50.61; South 340 341 East 1301; South 180 311 West 132.81; South 820 57! East 378?; North 890 451 East 290.41; North 870 511 East 150.11 to the Southeast corner, of said Singleton Addition, First Section, being a pointiin the West line of J. A. Scott Survey No. 8; THENCE South along the West line of J. A. Scott Survey No. 8 2721 to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3a of the Amended Charter of the City ofgWichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is, on the 14th day of November, A. D. 1955, introduced, and the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon. SECTION 3. The fact that many .people reside in the tertitory Oescri ed in this ordinance who are unable to take advantage of city conveniences, fire and police protection, sanitary and health measures, creates.-an emergency, and it is hereby declared""that the foregoing ordinance is an emer- gency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for peace, health and safety of property, and this ordinance shall go into effect.immediately upon its passage and approval. This ordinance having been introduced on the 14th day of November, A.
