AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FCR CLASSIFICATION OF ALL
POLICEMEN UNDER CI `IL' SERVICE, EWLCYED BY THE CITE'' OF
WICHITA FALLSPECLARING AN Ca CY D REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE COCIT'Y
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:.
SECTION 1. That the following positions in the Police Department
of the City of Wichita Falls, are. classified under,.. Civil Service", in
compliance with Section 8 of Article 1269.; of the Revised Civil Statutes
of Texas, as amended, and they are here set out as follows:

SECTION Z. No ether person employed by the City of Wichita Falls
may be classified as holding a position under Civil Service with the
Police Department.
SECTION 3. All prior ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4. The fact that the City of Wichita Fails has .currently
adopted a new budget requiring a re- classification of its Civil
Service, and in. order to protect the :pnblic' welfare a.nd safety, and
the fact that the present, .classif i';catlon ordinance Is now obsolete,
creates an emergency and .a public n,ecessity ' tha.t this ordinance
become effective. immediately from and after the date of its passage.
