Resolution authorizing the purchase of 85 Panasonic Toughbooks
from CDWG in the amount of $300,742.75 with an option to purchase
an additional 85 Toughbooks at the same price during the 2014-15
fiscal year
WHEREAS, the 2013-14 City budget includes $374,000 to replace 85 Panasonic
Toughbook Computers for the City’s Public Safety Mobile Computer System; and
WHEREAS, the 2014-15 preliminary City budget includes $374,000 to replace an
additional 85 Toughbook Computers for the same system; and
WHEREAS, price quotes were received from State vendors certified on the
Department of Information Resources’ List for the purchase of this equipment ; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing these proposals, the Council has determined that it is
in the City’s best interest to authorize the purchase of this equipment from CDWG.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Authorization is granted to purchase 85 Panasonic Toughbooks from CDWG in
the amount of $300,742.75 with an option to purchase an additional 85 Toughbooks at
the same price during the 2014-15 fiscal year.
