Resolution authorizing the purchase of a Storage Area Network
(SAN) Server from CDWG in the amount of $75,459.28 for the City’s
computer network.
WHEREAS, the City’s budget includes funds to replace the City’s existing EMC
Storage Area Network Server that is in excess of 5 years old; and
WHEREAS, this device is no longer supported by warranty and/or maintenance
agreements with existing vendors; and
WHEREAS, quotes were received from State vendors on the Department of
Information Resources’ Contract List for the purchase of this equipment; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing these proposals, it is in the City’s best interest to
award the proposal submitted by CDWG.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The purchase of a Storage Area Network Server from CDWG in the amount of
$75,459.28 is hereby approved.
