AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF MILL STREET -
BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF OFFUTT STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF THE
ALLEY BETWEEN OFFUTT AND MCLAUGHLIN STREETS; AND DECLARING AN EMER-:-
GENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That that portion of Mill Street between the
South line of Offutt Street to the North line of the Alley between
Offutt and McLaughlin Streets is hereby closed and abandoned to use
as a street.
SECTION Z. That the City of Wichita Falls retains all easements
for utility and drainage purposes, and in.the event that the use of
said premises is ever necessary for flood control or any other public
use, such right of use is hereby reserved to the City of Washita Falls.
The fact that the City does not desire to use the above property
as a public street creates an emergency and an emergency is hereby
declared and this ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
passage.
