ORDINANCE NUMBER
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA. FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT
TO THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS; ALL OF WHICH ARE FULLY DE--
SCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
(Singleton Addition, Section III and Blocks
819 9, 10 Park Place Addition)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF T�E CITY
OF WICHITA, FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land lo-
cated in Wichita County, Texas, be
and the same is hereby ordered` to be annexed and included
within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, and the corporate limits be extended to include said
tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point being the Southeast corner
of J. A. Scott Survey No, 8;
THENCE West 3293.5 feet to,aE point, being the
Southeast corner of Weeks Park;
THENCE North 1037.5 feet along the East line
of Weeks Park to a- point;
THENCE North 180 22t`:i�ast 218 feet to a point;
THENCE East 2138.3 feet along the North right -
of -way line of Memorial Drive, following the
present city limits to its intersection with the
South line of Lake Park Drive;
THENCE in Southerly direction following the
South line of Lake Park Drive to the Northwest
corner of Lot One (1), Block Nine (9), Singleton
Addition;
THENCE South 250 511 East 430.4 feet to a
point in the North line of Farm to Market Road
#369;
THENCE South 890 50t East 1702 feet to a point
in the East line of J.,.A. Scott Survey No. 8;
THENCE South 16 feet, to the point of beginning;
and containing 312 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3a of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
this ordinance is, on the day of )994@W�, A. D. 1957, in-
troduced, and the City Clerk is directed to publish said or-
dinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation, pub-
lished in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days
thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
SECTION 3. The fact that many people reside in the
territory described in this ordinance who
are unable to take advantage of city conveniences, fire and
police protection, sanitary and health measures, creates an
emergency, and it is hereby declared that the foregoing ordinance
is an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for
peace, health and safety of Vpcperty, and this ordinance shall
go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
