Wlereas,.it is found and determined by.the governing body of the City`of.
Wichita Falls, Texas, that in orderfto, promote the public health and prevent`.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE. . M7'CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:

Section 1. All such persons employed or seeking employment in arty food
establishment as defined in this" "ordinance` shall, upon the request of any
employer, or any legally appointed State or Local Health Officer or their
duly authorized representa.tive,:.secure an adequate examination of them-
selves-by licensed physician and secure in evidence thereof a certificate
signed by such physician stating that such examination has been made "and
that.to the best of his or her knowledge,.the person examined was 'found,
on that date, to be free.of any "transmis.sible condition of any disease or
local infection coarm: only transmitted through the handling of food or drink.
Such examination shall be actuaL'-and thorough and conducted within the
framework of practical scientific procedures for the determination of the
existance of communicable disease which may be transmissible through the
handling of foods.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for.any person to accept employment in
any food establishment, as that term is herein defined, without securing
from the Health Department,of the City of Wichita Fars a Health Certificate.:"
No person, firm, corporat.on, or organization operating or managing "any "food
establishment as; defined in this ordinance shall employ a person as a''food
handler unless that person has obtained a "Health Certificate as defined in
this ordinance. Any person working`as a cook maid, or baby -- sitter for hire
in private homes shall secure a Health Certificate as defined in this
Ordinance.

Section 3: For the` purpose `�of this ; ordinance ?Ifood establishment" is deg;

Section 4. 'An p' rson'who is required -to.; have a �Eealth `Certificate; under
this ordinaace� will make application :to the City Health, Department. When

laboratory', approved by . the Wichita `County,, Medical Society. X -ray, of�:, the`
