ORDINANCE NUMBER
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS IN AN
AREA SOUTHWEST OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, IN WICHITA
COUNTY, TEXAS ALL OF G HI'CH ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THIS
ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EfuiEFtGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1 . That the fallowing described tract of
land located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is
hereby ordered to be annexed and . included within the cor-
porate Limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the
corporate limits be extended to include said tract of land,
in Wichita County, Texas, the same being more partkularly
described as follows:
BEING out of the John A. Scott Survey No , Seven
(7) , Abstract Two Fifty Nine (z59) , and containing
one Hundred and Forty ( 14 0) Acres;
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of Farm
to Market Road #369, said point being 1001 Test of
the West l ineof Lake Road;
THENCE South 69 deg , 33 Min. East along the
North. Boundary line of the right-of-way to Farm to
Market. Road ;'369 a distance of 2777 ft . to the be-
ginning of a .curve to the right;
THENCE in an Easterly direction along said
right-of--way, following a curve to the right with
a radius of 5790 ft , , a distance of 932 ft „more or
less, to a half-inch (z in. ) iron rod set in the
Northwest boundary line of the right-of--way to the
City aqueduct;
THENCE South 20 deg , 24 Min, Test along the
right-of-way to the City Aqueduct, 785 .351 to a
half-inch (z inch) iron rod set at the beginning
of a curve to the right;
THENCE in. a Southwesterly direction along said
right-of-way, following a curve to the rightwith
a radius of 548 feet a distance of 373 .01 feet to
the end of said curve;
THENCE South 59 deg . 24 Min, West along said
right-of-way 1989 .7 feet to the beginning of a curve
to the left;
THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along said
right--of-way following a curve to the left with a
radius of 598 feet a distance of 220.0 feet to the
end of said. curve;
THENCE South 38 deg , 19 Min, West along said
right-of-way 1391 ,2 feet to a point in the East
Boundary line of the right-of-way to the Wichita
Falls and Southern Railroad ,
THENCE North 20 deg . 40 Min. West along the
right-of--way to the Wichita Falls and Southern
Railroad 93 .6 feet to the beginning of a curve to
the right;

THENCE in a Northerly direction along said
right-of-way, following a curve to the right with
a radius of 2815 feet, a distance of 1024 .4 feet
to the end of said curve;
THENCE North 00 deg . 11 Min . East along said
right-of--way Z155 ,6 feet to a point for corner
in the South right-of-way line of Farm to Market
Road #369;
THENCE in a Westerly direction along the
South line of Farm to 1Ularket Road t369, a distance
of 254 .71 to a point for corner in .the South line
of- Farm to Market Road 3691 said point being
1001 West of the West line of Lake Road;
THENCE North a distance of 1201 to the North
line of Farm to Market Road -//369, being the place
of beginning .
SECTION Z. In conformity with Section 3a of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance
is, on the 27th day of 'February, A. D. 1956, introduced and
the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one time
in a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City
of Washita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance
may be finally acted upon.
SECTION 3 , The fact that many people will reside in
and near the territory described in this ordinance who are un-
abI-e to take advantage of city conveniences, fire and police
protection, sanitary and health measures, creates an emergency,
and it is hereby declared that the foregoing ordinance is an
emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for
peace, health and safety of property, and this ordinance shall
go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval .
This ordinance having been introduced on the
27th day of February, A. D. 1956, and having been published in
a newspaper of general circulation in the' City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, to-wit, e WI y a Falls Record News, one time; on the
-W day of A. D. 1956, and seven days from such
ublication having elapsed, this ordinance is finally passed
and approved, this L`� day of March, A. D. 1956 .
