ORDINANCE. NO.
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING UNTO GENERAL MILLS, INC. PER-
MISSION TO CONSTRUCT AND PERMANENTLY MAINTAIN ONE CONVEYOR BELT
BRIDGE AND SYSTEM, ACROSSOVER AND ABOVE BURNETT STREET BETWEEN
18TH AND 19TH STREETS CONNECTING THE EXISTING WAREHOUSE SITUATED
IN BLOCK 10 OF THE JALONIC ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
WITH A PROPOSED WAREHOUSE TO BE SITUATED IN BLOCK 9 OF THE JAL -
ONIC ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, PROVIDING HOWEVER,
THAT SAID CONVEYOR BELT BRIDGE AND SYSTEM SHALL NEVER BE LESS
THAN 17 FEET ABOVE THE SURFACE OF BURNETT STREET; WITH THE FUR-
THER PROVISION THAT GENERAL MILLS, INC. ITS SUCCESSORS OR ASS-
IGNS, WILL FOREVER HOLD THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, HARM-
LESS FOR ANY LIABILITY THAT MAY OR MIGHT ARISE OUT OF THE CON-
STRUCTION OR MAINTENANCE OF SAID CONVEYOR BELT BRIDGE AND SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, General Mills, Inc. has requested permission
from the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to construct and perman-
ently maintain a conveyor belt bridge and system between 18th
and 19th Streets; and
WHEREAS, this request has been approved by all appro-
priate Advisory Boards of the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
Permission is hereby granted unto General Mills, Inc.
to construct and permanently maintain one conveyor belt bridge
and system, across over and above Burnett Street between 18th
and l9th Streets connecting the existinr, Warehouse situated in
Block 10 of the Jalonic Addition to the City of Wichita Falls
with a proposed Warehouse to be situated in Block 9 of the Jal-
onic Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, providing however,
that said conveyor belt bridge and system shall never be less
than 17 feet above the surface of Burnett Street; with the fur-
ther provision that General Mills, Inc., its atuccessors or as-
signs, will forever hold the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, harm-
less for any liability that may or m16-ht arise out of the con-
struction or maintenance of said conveyor belt bridge and system,
