ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE
SOUTHEAST TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. (Loch Lomond Area)
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be
extended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the south boundary line of
Block 7, Cherokee County School Lands, Wichita County, Texas,
said point being 290.4 feet north eight -nine degrees and forty -
two minutes east of the southwest corner of the said Block 7;
THENCE north zero degrees and fourteen minutes west
1935.3 feet along the east right -of -way line of a proposed ex-
pressway to a point;
THENCE continuing along the east right -of -way line
of the proposed expressway north six degrees and thirty -six
minutes east 503.1 feet to a point;
THENCE continuing along the east right -of -way line of
the proposed expressway north one degree and fifty -five minutes
east 823.6 feet to a point in the south right -of -way line of
Hatton Road;
THENCE west along the south right -of -way line of Hatton
Road to a point in the present city limit line, said point being
300 feet east of the west right -of -way line of U.S. Highway 281
and 79;
THENCE north along the present city limit line to the
north right -of -way line of Hatton Road;
THENCE east along the north right -of --way line of Hatton
Road to a northerly projection of the most westerly east lane of
the Loch Lomond Addition, Section A;
THENCE south zero degrees and eighteen minutes east
2287.3 feet along said east line of Loch Lomond Addition to a
point;
THENCE north eighty -nine degrees and forty -two minutes
east 1080.1 feet to a point;
THENCE south zero degrees and eighteen minutes east
1017.8 feet to a point;
THENCE south eighty nine degrees and forty -two minutes
west 184 feet to a point;
THENCE south zero degrees and eighteen minutes east
1800 feet to a point;
THENCE west 1320 feet more or less to a point in the
west line of Block 44, Cherokee County School Lands;
THENCE north zero degrees and twenty minutes west along
the west line of said Block 44 a distance of 1820 feet more or
less to the northwest corner of said Block 449
THENCE south eighty -nine degrees and forty -two minutes
west x.08.2 feet to the place of beginning and containing 165 acres
more or less.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amended
Charter of the Ci�T of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance -L on
the`?/ day of , 1960, introduced and the City Clerk
is directed to—p—M777--saI7 ordinance one time in a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, TL.:xas,
and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the/ 7-' day of
1960, and having been published in a newspaper of gen-
eral circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to wit, the
Wichita Falls Record News, one time to wit, on the day of
