. N CRDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA F!�LLS9 TEXAS , BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS "DJ.'�CENT TO
THE NCRTH TERR ITOR IAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF W ICH ITP F)LLS,
TEXAS, WHICH UNDS ^RE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS9 by Ordinance No. 1851 , introduced by the Board
of :)Idermen on the qth of November , 1959, and passed on the
23rd of November , 1959, the City of Wichita Falls annexed all
lands embracing Wichita County Water Control and Improvement
District Nos . 4 and 6; and
WHEREAS, tracts 2 and 3 of said Ordinance No. 1851 des -
cribed certain lands that Wichita County Water Control and Im-
provement District No. 4 purportedly annexed ; and
WHEREAS, the legal description used in said tracts 2
and 3 are vague; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to definitely establish the
boundaries of these two tracts of land .
NOW THEREFCRE 9 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOf'\RD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
SECTION 1 . That the following tracts of land located in
Wichita County , Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls , Texas, and that the corporate limits be
extended so as to include said tracts of land in Wichita County ,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows :
TRACT I .
tract of land out of Thomas- Hardy Survey, Abstract 367
and David Welch Survey, ".bstract 324, Wichita County, Texas , more
particularly described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the Thomas Hardy
Survey, said point being 586 feet South zero degrees and three
minutes East from the Northeast corner of the J . R. Cook Survey,
abstract 40.
THENCE South eighty-nine degrees and forty-three minutes
East 1044 feet, parallel to and 160 feet North of the South line
of the said Thomas Hardy Survey and the North line of the David
Welch Survey, to a point;
THENCE South zero degrees and three minutes East parallel
with the West line of said David Welch Survey 2077 feet more or
less to the center line of the right-of-way of the North main
canal of the Wichita County Water Improvement District No. l;
THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along the center line
of the right-of-way of said canal to a point in the West line of
said David Welch Survey ;
THENCE North zero degrees and three minutes West 2693 feet
more or less along the West line of said David Welch Survey to
the place of beginning, containing 57 acres of land more or Less..
TRACT 11.
Being a tract of land out of the Thomas Hardy Survey , Ab-
stract 367 and J. R . Cook Survey , Abstract 40, Wichita County,
Texas, more particularly described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the East line of the said J . R .
Cook Survey 586 feet South zero degrees and two minutes East
from its Northeast corner .
THENCE South eight-nine degrees and thirty-nine minutes
East 208.2 feet to the Southwest corner of the Robert S . Lips-
comb 20 acre tract ; said corner being 160 feet North of the
South line of said Thomas Hardy Survey ;
THENCE North zero degrees and seven minutes East 1041 .2
feet to the South right-of-way line of U. S . Highway 287 Express-
way ;

THENCE Westerly following the South right-of-way line of
said Expressway along a curve to the left whose radius is 7473
feet a distance of 1630.4 feet to end of curve;
THENCE North mighty-nine degrees and fifty-one minutes
West 358. 1 feet along said South right-of-way to a point,-
THENCE South, at 636. 1 feet pass South line said Thomas
Hardy Survey and North line of said J. R . Cook Survey, in all
2727 feet more or less to the center line of the North main
canal of Wichita County Water Improvement District No. 1;
THENCE in a Southeasterly direction along the center
line of said canal to the East line of the J . R . Cook Survey
THENCE North zero degrees and two minutes West along the
East line of said J . R . Cook Survey 2693 feet more or 1-ess to
the point of beginning, containing ill acres of land more or
less .
SECTION 2 . in conformity with Section 3-A of the 'mend--
ed Charter of the City Wichita Falls, Texas , this ordinance
is on the -pS day of , 1960, introduced and the
City Clerk is directe o publish said ordinance one time in a
newspaper of- general circulation published in the City of Wichita
Falls , Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be
finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the �S day of
, 1960, and having been published in a newspaper of
eneral circulation in the City of Wichita Falls , Texas , �t,
