AN ORDINANCE CLOSING =r ABANDONING :P;iA;;-; PORTION OF THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK EIGHT (8) OF BATESON SECOND ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, „
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS LYING BETWEEN LOTS nine,
(9 ) TEN (109 ELEVEN (11) , T`VIELVE OZ) and THIRTEEN (13 )
ON THE NORTH, AND LOTS FOURTEEN (14), FIFTEEN (15), six -
TEEN (16),,SEVENTEEN (17) AND EIGHTEEN (18) ON THE SOUTH,
70 SAID BLOCK EIGHT (8), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That that portion of the alley in Bloch
eight 8 , Bateson Second Addition to the.City of Wichita
Falls, Wichita County, Texas, -more particularly de-
scribed as lying between Lots'9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 an
the North, and lots 14, 15, lo, 17 and 18, on the South
of said Block 8, shall be and the same is hereby closed
and abandoned as a public alley.
Section 2. The alley herein is closed at the request
of Our Lea- y of Guadalupe School, the owner of the above
stated lots bordering this alley, for the reason that the
same is no longer in use as a public alley, or as a utility
easement, and will be no longer used as such, and in order
that a new school building may be built where this alley
is located.
Section 3. The fact that the above described portion
of the a ley is no longer needed, and will not in the future
be used by the City of Wichita Falls, as an alley, and the
further fact that a school building -drill be in the`'process
of construction in the immediate future, creates an emergency,
and an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall
be effective upon the passage hereof.
