AN C DINTANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS AD-
JACENT TO THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY .
OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS; .ALL OF WHICH
ARE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING-
AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; .
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located
in VTichita County, Texas, be and the same
is hereby ordered to be annexed and included within the
corporate limits of the City of 1,Tichita Falls, Texas, and
the corporate limits be extended so as to include said
tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being
more particularly described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the present
Wichita Falls corporate limits, said point being
on the West right-of-way line of Scott Street,
and being 390 feet South of the South right-of-
way line of Christine Road;
THENCE in a southerly direction along
said right-of-way line a distance of approximately
1585 feet to the North right-of-way line of a
County Road known as "Hatton Road`r;
THENCE in a westerly direction along
said .right--of-way line a distance of approximately
2660 feet to the lest right-of-way line of U.S.
Highway 281 (State Highway 79);
THENCE in a northerly direction, along
said right-of-way line a distance of approximately
1585 feet to a point in the present corporate limits;
THENCE. in an easterly direction along said
corporate limits line a distance of approximately
2660 feet to a point in the jTest right-of-way line
of Scott Street, said point being the place of be-
ginming;
and containing 96 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3a of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
this ` ordinance is, on the 14th day of Apr i 1, D, 1958,
introduced , and the City Clerk is directed to publish said
ordinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation,
published in the City of �,�Fichita Falls, Texas, and seven .
days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
SECTION 3. The fact that many people reside in the
territory described in this ordinance who
are unable to take advantage of city conveniences, fire and
police protection, sanitary and health measures, creates an
emergency., and it is hereby declared that the foregoing
ordinance is an emergency measure on the grounds of argent
public need for peace, health and safety of property, and
this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its
passage and approval.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 14th
day of April, A. D. 1958, and having been published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of �Afichita
Falls, Texas, to,- It, the %tfichita Falls Record News, one
time: on ,the �_�z [ day of ,April, A. D• 1958, and seven days
from such publ ation having elapsed, thi�rdinance is
finally passed and approved this, the �, - day of April,
