UNDER CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF !'JICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS; REPEALING . ,',LL PRICR CRDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
AND DECLARING :1N EMERGENCY.
BE IT CRDA INED BY THE B0r ^RD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following positions in the Fire De -,
partment of the City of 1,'1ichita Falls, Texas,
are classified under Civil Service in compliance with Section
8 of .article 1269m, of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
as Amended, and they are hereby set out as follows:

SECTION 2. No other person employed by the City of Wichita
Falls, may be classified as holding a position
under Civil Service with the Fire Department of said City.
SECTION 3. 'll prior ordinances inconsistent herewith
are hereby repealed,
SECTION 4. The fact that the City of Wichita Falls is in
the process of adopting a new budget requiring
the above classifications in its Civil Service, and in order
to protect the public safety and welfare, the fact that the
present classification ordinance is now obsolete, creates an
emergency, and it is therefore declared that this ordinance
shall become effective immediately upon its passage,
