AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF 1-1ICHITA
FALLS, T ',AS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS SOUTH AND EAST OF THE PRESENT
TERRITCRIAL LITv1ITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA, FALLS, TEXAS, ALL OF WHICH
ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS CRDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
(FIRST TRACT: Fain- McGaha, Hursh and McKinzie Properties;
SECOND TRACT: Featherston, et al Properties;
THIRD TRACT: Sikes - Hamilton- Norwood, et al. Properties;
FOURTH TRACT: Kickapoo Airport Site, Michna, et a1 Properties)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF 141ICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tracts of land, located in
r Wichita County, Texas, be and the same are
hereby ordered to be annexed and to be included within the corporate
limits of the City of 1ichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate
limits be extended so as to include said tracts of land in Wichita
County, Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the south property
line of Norman Street with the Vilest line of U. S. Highway „`281;

SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
this ordinance is on the 13th day of October, 1958, introduced,
and the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one
time in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance
may be finally acted upon.
SECTION 3. The fact that many people will want to reside
in the territory described in this ordinance
and will be unable to take advantage of city conveniences, fire
and police protection, sanitary and health measures, creates an
emergency and it is hereby declared that the foregoing ordinance
is an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need
for the protection of the general welfare, and this ordinance
shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 13th day of
October, 1958, and having been published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas; towit, The ;Wichita
Falls Record News, one time, towit, on the ��rt day of October,
1958, and seven days after such publication has elapsed, this or-
dinance shall be finally passed and approved, this day of
1958.
