AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 and 2 OF ORDINANCE 445,
AS SAME HAS HERETOFORE BEEN MIENDED BY ORDINANCES 11215

FALLS WATER DEPARTMENT, SAID SECTIONS ALSO BEING KNOVTNT
AS SECTIONS 7 -1001 and 7- 1001.1, TITLE 7, CHAPTER 10 OF
THE CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, 1941; REPEALING ALL. ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN E110ERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEY A
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance 445, as amended,
also known as Section 7-1001, Title 7, Chapter 10 of the Cod-
ification of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
1941, and Section 2 of said Ordinance 445, also known as
Section 7- 1001.1, be and the same are hereby amended so as
to read as follows, towit:
Section 7 -1001 reads:
The following rates are hereby established and shall
be hereafter collected by the eater Department of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, from and after June 1, 1958.
The following ester rates shall apply to all water
users, residential, commercial and industrial with the exception
that service outside the corporate limits shall be one and
one -half (12) times the rate charged inside the corporate limits
based upon the following computation:
The minimum monthly bill for all metered water service
shall be $1.50 for which amount each customer shall be allowed
3,000 gallons of water.
For larger consumption the rate shall be as follows,towit:
The first 5,000 gallons
Next 45,000 gallons
Next 450,000 gallons
Next 500,000 gallons
Excess 1000,000 gallons

All services for water, sewer and sanitation shall be
billed together.
All water, sewer and sanitation accounts shall be due month-
ly and roust be paid within 15 days from the postoff ice cancella-
tion date of statement. if not paid by this date, a 10%, penalty
will be added. The customer shall then have 15 days iii which
to pay the water, sewer and sanitation accounts,with penalty.
At t-he expiration of this date, water,-sewer and sanitation
services will be discontinued and will be restored only with
the full payment of the account, plus an additional charge of
X71.00 for disconnecting and restoring service fee.
That all utility customers shall put up a deposit as
heretofore provided. No interest payment shall accurq$.'Lilate
on deposits for these utility services-

departments of the it of wichita Falls, Texas, by theWater
Department shall be measured by meter and all water used by
the City Departments shall be charged tc their respective
accounts and paid for monthly by the respective departments
to the ",Hater` Department at the rate of 0 .2Z/ Per one thousanj
(1,000) gallons of water, such amount of water to be used during
the current month.
All water furnished the departments of the City shall
be paid as follows;
1. For all water furnished for street sprinRling, street
cleaning, sweeping and flushing to the Street Department.
2. For all water furnished to Public FarRs, Cemetery,
Play Grounds,etc., to the MR Department.
3. For all water furnished to the incinerator, flushing
sewers, or sprinkling dumping grounds, to the Sanitary Department.
4. For all water furnished for any municipal building
or for the use of any of the Departments of the City Governmant
not specified in this ordinance the same shall be charged to
such building or department service account and paid for frOIM
such funds as may be available, but in the event no building
or department fund is available such account shall be paid for
from the general and or other funds as directed by the Board
of Albermen.
S,,,,TI ,CL S AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS. For all
charitable institutions, including, byt not limited to churches
and schools, a monthly charge for water shall be paid for on
the basis of .221 per thousand (i,oOO) gallons of water used
during the current month, with a minimtm charge of $1.50 per
month to be charged such charitable institution user. I
SECTION 2. provided that the schedule of rates set forth
above in Section 7-1001 to be charged shall not apply to persons.9
firms and corporations residing beyond the City Limits of the
city of Wichita Falls, WhMhTand maintaining places of
business outside the city limits of said city, but that such,
persons shall pay a rate equivalent to the rate above prescribed,
plus 50% of the rate so prescribed in said Section. Provided
that the minimum charge shall be 12.25 per month for persons,
firms or corporations residing outside the city limits.

SECTICN 3. Because of the fact that the present water

and requires that this ordinance shall take effect immediate-
