ORD I NANCE NO,
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS9 BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS, ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHWEST
TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS 9 TEX11S 9 IuHICH LANDS
ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS CRD I NANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA. FULLS, TEXAS
SECTION 1. That the following tract of lard located in Wichita
County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be annexed and
to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended so as to
include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the South right -of -way line of
State Highway FM 369 and the East right -of -way line of the Wichita
Falls and Southern R.R. said point being at a corner in the present
City Limit line;
THENCE following the present City Limit line in a southerly
direction with the East right -of -way line of the Wichita Falls and
Southern R.R. to the West right -of -way line of the City Aqueduct;
THENCE Southwesterly with the North line of the City Aqueduct,
to a point in the East line of Block 36, League 1, Denton County
School Land, 11 -58;
THENCE South with the East line and the East line produced of
the said Block 36 to a point on the North side of the Lake Wichita
Dam at the Lake Wichita Spillway elevation;
THENCE Northwesterly along the North side of the dam, follow-
ing a contour line at spillway elevation, to the end of the dam;
THENCE following the meanders of a contour line at spillway
elevation along the North and West banks of Lake Wichita to the
intersection of said contour line with a Southerly prolongation of
the l,Vest right -of -way line of Fairway Boulevard;
THENCE North with the West right -of -way line of Fairway Bou-
levard to the South line of State Highway FM 369, said point being
in the present City Limit lire,
THENCE East with the South right -of -way line of State Highway
FM 369 to the place of beginning and containing '180 acres more or
less.
SECTION 2 In conformity with Section 3 -A of the I ^mended
Charger o City of W *c ita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is
on the— . day of 1959, introduced and the City
Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one time in a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted
upon.
