_ ^N ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF "VICHITA
F,^LLS9 TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS "ADJACENT TO THE NORTH TERR-
ITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS., 'WHICH L.',IDS
ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA Fj'LLS, TEXAS
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in
'aJichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas; and that the corporate limits be
extended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County,
Texas, and the same being more particularly described as follows*
BEGINNING at the intersection of the East right -of -way line
of the U. S. 287 Expressway Spur 325 with the VA ;t right -of -way
line of the Burkburnett Road ( now Loop 165 znd formerly U. S.
Highway 281), being in the present City Limit line;
THENCE Southwesterly with the East right -of -way line of
U. S. 287 Expressway Spur 325 to the East right -of -way line of
the MK & T RR;
THENCE Northwesterly with the East line of the MK & T RR to
the North property line of the L.M. Puckett Estate tract;
THENCE East to the East line of the 1 ^,R. Cullins Survey,
A-414;
THENCE South 103 feet more or less to the Southwest corner
of the Lewis Wells Survey;
THENCE East with the South line of the Lewis Wells Survey
to a point in the present City Limit line, said point being in
the West right -of -way line of U. S. Highway 281, also known as
the Burkburnett Road;
THENCE Southeasterly along the West right -of -way line of
said Highway 281 to the place of beginning and containing 580
acres more or less.
SECTI 2. In conformity with Section 3 -A of the 'Smcndcd
Charter the Cit Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is
on the ay of , 1959, introduced and the City Clerk
is dir cted to publi said ordinance one time in a newspaper of
gener 1 circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted
upon, ZX__
This ordinance having been introduced on the =day of
1959, and having been published in a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Wichita Fails, Texas, to wit,
the Nita Falls Record Ncws, one time to wit, on the // day of
1959, and seven days after such publication has
elapsid, this ord Ana e shall be finally passed and approved this
day of 1959.
