J AN Oi;Dl,JANCE LXTENDING THE CITY LI1,1ITS OF THE CITY OF VVICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING THE JACKSBORO "Y" Ai k;A _1111CH IS ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LAND IS DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION I. That the f ollowing tract of land located Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be a- included within the corporate limits of the City Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the particularly described as follows: in .4ichita County, znexed and to be of Wichita Falls, so as to include same being more Beginning at a corner in the present City Limit line, said point being in an Easterly prolongation of the South line of the W. H. Spiser Addition and being 525 feet East of the West right - of -way line of U. S. Highway 281; Thence East 280 feet more or less to the East line of a county road known as Dittoe Lane; Thence South along the East line of Dittoe Lane 3 840 feet; Thence 4vest to the west right -of -way line of U. S. High- way 281; Thence Northwesterly along the West right -of -way line of U. S. Highway 281 to its intersection with the present city limit line; Thence East along the present city limit line 360 feet more or less to an L corner in said city limit line; Thence continuing alon the present city limit line North 2600 feet to the place of beginning and containing 24 acres of land more or less. UECTION II. In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amended Charter o� the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the '` day of Marcli, 1960, int-oduced and the City Clerk is directe o publish said ordinance one time in a news paper of general circu- lation published in the City of 'Wichita Falls, 'Texas, and seven (7) days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon. SECTION III. The fact that many people reside in the territory descri- bed in this ordinance creates an emergency and it is hereby de- clared that the foregoing ordinance is an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent public need for the protection of the general welfare, and this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
