AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE
WEST TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH
LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. (Tanglewood Addition area)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be
extended so as to include said tracts of land in Wichita County,
Texas, the same beinu more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a corner in the present City Limit line,
said point being a northerly projection of the east line of
Fairway Boulevard and being 1000 feet northerly of the center line
of U. S. Highway 82 and 277 measured at right angles thereto;
THENCE north along the east right -of -way line of a road
known as Fairway Road and also as Turtle Creek Ranch Road a dis-
tance of approximately 2700 feet to a right angle left turn in
said road;
THENCE south eighty -nine degrees and thirty -five minutes
west along the north line of said road 836.5 feet;
THENCE north zero degrees and thrrty -nine minutes west
1226.5 feet;
THENCE north thirty -seven degrees and 01 minutes east
150.9 feet;
THENCE north zero degrees and twenty -three minutes west
890.7 feet;
THENCE north seventy -five degrees and forty -six minutes
east 1953.6 feet;
THENCE north to the south bank of the Wichita River;
THENCE following the meanders of the south bank of the
Wichita River in an easterly direction to the east line of the
Robert Evans Survey produced;
THENCE south to a point in the presF;nt City Limit line
said point being 1000 feet northerly from the center line of U.S.
Highway 82 and 277 measured at right angles thereto;
THENCE southwesterly along the present City Limit line
parallel to and 1000 feet from the center line of said Highway
82 and 277 to the place of beginning and containing 505 acres more
or less.
SECTION II. In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amen-
ded Charter of the Cit• of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is
on the ay of , 1960, introduced and the City Clerk
is direc e to publish said ordinance one time in a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the of
