AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING THE FIELD NOTES IN ORDINANCE NO. 1859
WHICH ORDINANCE ANNEXED LAND TO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LAND IS DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1859, introduced on the 9th day of
November, 1959, and passed on the 23rd day of November, 1959, certain
land was annexed to the City Limits of the City of Wichita Falls;
and
WHEREAS, the legal description of said area needs to be more
definitely established.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
Section I. of Ordinance No. 1859 is hereby amended so as to
hereafter read as follows:
BEGINNING at a point of intersection of a former City Limit
line with the east right -of -way line of the U. S. 281 Expressway
(Red River Expressway), said point being 905.7 feet north fifteen
degrees and forty -four minutes west of the Iowa Park Highway north
right -of -way line;
THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along said easterly right -
of -way line of U. S. 287 Expressway a distance of 4882 feet;
THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along said right -of -way
line a distance of 2914 feet more or less to the Tank Farm Road
underpass;
THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along the east right -of-
way line of Spur 325 of the U. S. 287 Expressway to the east right -
of -way line of the Sheppard Access Road;
THENCE Southeasterly along the east right -of -way line of the
Sheppard Access Road a point in a former City Limit line in the
North line of the E. Scurry Survey;
THENCE following the old City Limit line as described in the
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls to the place of beginning as
follows:
West with the north line of the E. Scurry Survey to a point
2298 feet west from the northeast corner of same;
THENCE South to a point on south line of D. Leona Survey, Ab-
stract No. 176;
THENCE West with the north line of John A. Scott Survey No. 17
to the northwest corner of a 20 acre tract once owned by New Tex
Refining Company;
THENCE South with the west line of said New Tc;x Refining Com-
pany Land to the place of beginning and containing 266 acres more
or less.
SECTION II.
In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amended Charter of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the ,/ day of
�., 1960, introduced and the City Clerk is dird to pub
lishl,said ordinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days there-
after this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the day of

E_ene�ral circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to wit,
the Wichita Falls Record News, one time to wits on the /6_%l�day
