AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING THE FIELD NOTES IN ORDINANCE NO. 1854
WHICH ORDINANCE ANNEXED LAND TO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALL ;, TEXAS, WHICH LAND IS DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1854, introduced on the 9th day of
November, 1959 and passed on the 23rd day of November, 1959, certain
land was annexed to the City Limits of the City of Wichita Falls;
and
WHEREAS, the legal description of said area needs to be more
definitely established.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
Section I. of Ordinance No. 1854 is hereby amended so as to
hereafter read as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the south line of the Robert
Evans Survey with the west line projected of the Fairview Addition;
THENCE South along the present City Limit line to a point 90.6
feet west and 95.5 feet south of the northeast corner of Block 14,
League 1, Denton County School Land;
THENCE West parallel to and 95.5 feet south of the north lines
of Blocks 14 and 15, League 1, Denton County School Land, to the
east line of Fairway Boulevard;
THENCE North along the east line of Fairway Boulevard to the
north right -of -way line of the Fort Worth and Denver R. R.;
THENCE Southwesterly along the north right -of -way line of the
Fort Worth and Denver R.R. to the West line of Alexandria Road in
the Westmoreland Park Addition;
THENCE north along the west line of Alexandria Road to a point
which is 660 feet southeast of U.S. Highway 82 and 277 measured at
right angles thereto;
THENCE Northeasterly parallel to and 660 feet from the center
line of U. S. Highway 82 and 277 to the west right -of -way line of
Fairway Boulevard;
THENCE North along the west line of Fairway Boulevard to the
center line of U. S. Highway 82 and 2?7;
THENCE Northeasterly along the center line projected of U.S.
Highway 82 and 277 to the south line of the Robert Evans Survey;
THENCE east along the south line of the Robert Evans Survey to
the place of beginning and containing 865 acres more or less.
SECTION II.
In conformity with Section 3 -A of the Amended Charter of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the ��,j day of
1960, introduced and the City Clerk is di red to pub
lish sasaid ordinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Wichia Falls, Texas, and seven days there-
after this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 13 day of
t� 1960, and having been published in a newspaper of
gerferal circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to wit,
the Wichita Falls Record News, one time to wit, on the day
of .urn , 1960, and seven days after such publication as ela-
psed ,; is ordinance shall be finally passed and approved this
