RESOLUTION NO. 91-2014
Resolution authorizing the purchase of one 35-Foot Low-Floor Bus
from Gillig Corporation in the amount of $371,641 , plus selected
options, for a total bid price of $385,534
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2011, the City of Wichita Falls accepted a bid from
Gillig Corporation for the purchase of two 35-foot low-floor buses in an amount of
$371,641 apiece, plus specified amounts for options, with the option to purchase 10
additional buses for a period of up to 5 years;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that exercise of this option for the purchase of
an additional bus will be more cost-effective than purchase through other means; and
WHEREAS, the cost of this purchase is 100% grant funded by the FTA (Federal
Transit Administration) and Transportation Development Credits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one 35-
Foot Low-Floor Bus from Gillig Corporation in the original bid amount of $371,641, plus
selected options described in the attached Price Summary, for a total bid price of
$385,534. City staff is further authorized to execute change orders in compliance with
state law.
