AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16)4, THE TRAFFIC CODE, BY
AMENDING SUBSECTION (d) , SECTION 2 OF ARTICLE I, BY DECLARING A. D
ENUMERATING ALL THOSE VEHICLES WHICH SHALL BE GIVEN THE STATUS OF
AUTHORIZED EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
THAT, Subsection (d) Section 2; Article I of Ordinance No. 1641
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Authorized Emer:,enc Vehicles - Vehicles of the Fire Department,
Police Depar men , pa. c an• private ambulances for which permits
have been issued by the State Board of Health, emergency vehicles of
the Water and Sewer Departments of the City of Wichita Falls, emer-
gency vehicles of all utility companies holding valid franchise
from the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and all wreckers that have a
towing capacity of raCiapounds or more and are equipped with the
following: 12,000
1. One red beacon ray
2. Three safety flares - burnable type or glass-reflector type
3. One broom
L . One shovel
5. A short-wave two-way radio capable of sending and receiving
on the City Police frequency
6. Safety four-wheel brake lock
7. Heavy-duty steel chains
8. A heavy-duty tie rope
9. One four-pound dry chemical fire extinguisher
10. Minimum of $25,000 and $50,000 Public Liability Insurance
