Res Election canvass 4/9/1945RESOLUTION
VHERREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen the City of
Wichita Falls held at the regular meeting place in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium Building in said City on the 9th day of April, 1945, at
which a quorum was present, came on to be considered the returns of the city
election held on April 3, 1945, for the purpose of electing three aldermen
for said City, and
IVBEREAS, after canvassing the.returns of said,electionAt was found
to be duly and legally held in all respects, and there were cast at said
election 501 votes for the election of three aldermen, and that

G.A. Spragins received 492 votes.
Vic Stampfli received - votes
W. M. Harris received 1 votes
For Alderman Place No. 2
J. W. Fitzpatrick received 418 votes
Russell Jack Ballard received 79 votes
For Alderman Place No. 3
E. J. Wininger received 489 votes
Vic Stampfli received : votes
J. B. Bird received I votes
Afid it appearing that C. A. Spragins received the greatest number
of votes cast at said election for Alderman Place Number One, that J. W.
Fitzpatrick received the greatest number of votes cast at said election for
Alderman, Place Number Two, and that E. J. Wininger received the greatest
number of votes cast at said election for Alderman Place Number Three,
NOtAI, T HEREFOFE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; TIiAT IT BE DECLARED THAT
That C. A. Spragins, J. W. Fitzpatrick and E. J. Wininger were
duly and legally elected Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, at
said election and that said election was in all respects legally held in
accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and Ordinances
of said City.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 9th day of April., 1945.
