ORDINANCE NO. I
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT PORTION OF THE STREET
KNOWN.N AS CENTRAL DRIVE LYING NORTH OF NORTHEAST DRIVE IN WICHITA

GARDENS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TO BARKER
DRIVE; AND CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT PORTION OF THE STREET KNOWN
AS CENTRAL DRIVE LYING BETWEEN NORTHEAST DRIVE AND SOUTHEAST DRIVE
IN'WICHITA GARDENS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TO
WILLOW DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls have been requested by property owners on Central Drive and
other Wichita Falls streets, in order to eliminate confusion in
street names within the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to change the
name of that portion of Central Drive located North of Northeast
Drive to Barker Drive, and that ;portion of Central Drive lying
between Northeast Drive and Southeast Drive to Willow Drive, and
WHEREAS, the request for such change of name will not
cause any confusion with the Post Office, with the Fire Department ,
nor any other interested parties, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls believe it to be in the best interest of said City and all
interested persons that such street name be changed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
Section 1. That that portion of Central Drive located
North of Northeast Drive in Wichita Gardens', be :renamed Barker
Drive; and that portion of Central Drive lying between Northeast
Drive and Southeast Drive in Wichita Gardens be renamed Willow
Drive .
From and after thissaid public street shall bear the
above designated names and shall be shown on all official maps
of the City of Wichita Falls and shall hereafter bear such names
for all purposes.
