The Board of Aldeimen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session at 8;00 F. 1J. on the above date in the Council. Room in
The Yxmoxial Auditorium with the followizig members present:

adopted.
Motion seconded, by Alderman Williams and carried by the

TFEREAS, the Board of Aidemen oia the City of Wichita Mils,
Texas, deems it to the best interest of the City to purchase property
owed by the United States of Arwrica 1wated at Ohio & Ninth Streets
in said City and known as the old postoffice building or property, and.
T'RREAS, said property will be very valuable to the City of
Fichita Fells fcr goverramenta.l purposes and more particularly in. pro -
viding suitable headquarters for the City Police Department and other
municipal purposes, aid
the City of Wichita Falls being a Political subdi-
vision and an amr of the Government is privileged to buy said property
from the Federal Government at apprCmimatel.y 50% of the appraised value
of said }property,
NOW., TH=0RE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BO.PM OF ALDEMM OF THE

THAT V. E. Fitzgerald,. Mayor, be and is hereby authorized to
pur oha se f or a nd on behalf of sai d e it y sai d property at and for the
sum of line Thousand ($9,000.00) Dollars on the following terms: One-
fifth cash and the balance, one- fifth each yeas for five consecutive
years and interest therein on the deferred purebase money of 4% per
annum, and said Mayor is further authorized to execute such papers as
are necessary to effectuate this purcbase from the .Federal Goverment,
and
BE IT FURTM RESCLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls that said property being purchased from the Federal
Goverwwnt under Public No. 330 that the Gity of Wichita Falls complies
with the purpose and intent of said act.as fully set out by the Congress
of the United ,States am sball use said property for city purposes as
in said act provided, and
BE iP FURTHER a RESOLVED that the City Clerk be authorized to
pay for said property out of the general fund of said City.
