R E S O'L U T I O N
That Phereas, G. Iii. Cooper, a citizen of Wichita Falls, Texas,
has filed a suit in the 30th District Court of Wichita County, Texas,
styled G. VT. Cooper vs. City of Mchita Falls, # 3743$ -A, in which he at-
tack's the constitutionality of, Ordinance x269, which, grants exemptions
on taxable values of homestead property in the sum of Three Thousand
($3,000.00) Dollars, and
Whereas, it is the desire of the City of Wichita Falls that
the City Attorney appear and defend said suit.
Novi, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Aldermen in a
special called session that the City Attorney, be, and -he is hereby di-

rected to: "defend said suit in the 30th District Court of ichita County,
Texas, when the same is set for trial..
Be. it further resolved that the City Attorney, be, and he is
hereby directed that in the event a decision"is rendered by the Judge of
the 30th District Court trying said cause adversely to:the City of Wichita
Falls, that he imiediately appeal the same to the Court of 0APP -0als
and do all things necessary to prosecute said cause to final decision.
