Res Recognizing Perkins' gift 8/30/1943R RESOLUTION That, whereas, J. J. Perkins, and wife, Lois Perkins, trm of the most beloved and ,respected citizens of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, have made many substantial and useful gifts to the City of Wi.chi.ta.­Falls, and various other cities in the State of Texas, and kereas, the said J. J. Perkins and wire, Lois Perkins have at alb. times manifested a great interest in the welfare of the citizenship of 3i,chita Falls Texas and have always been ready, willing, and anxious to contribute to bvery worth while cause in Wichita Falls, and, Whereas., on Aug;'st ;the 26th, A. D., 1943, the said J. J..Perkins and wife, Lois Perkins rude to the City of i:chi.ta Fall..s ': anal Wichita County, 'Tsxs a a sub suantial .c.ontri.buti.on for the purpose of erecting and furnishing an .Isolation Ward to the Wi.chi.ta' Genera:,L Hospital, which has,. long been needed; said contribution being an assignment of an interest in an oil and gas lease located in Gregg County, Texas, and being valued at the etm of 60,000.00m and, 'Whereas, said gift odll enable the City of Wichita Falls and Wichita Coiunty, ' Texas,, to erect and furnish an addition to the Wichita General Hospital to be,used,as an Isolation Ward. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE .BOARD OF ALDE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the Uayor, Board of Aldermen, and the City Manager, of the City of Wichita Falls' Texas, do hereby for themselves. and for and on behalf of the entire: citizenship of Wichita Falls, extend their most grateful. thanks to J. J.. Perkins and wife, Mrs. Lois Perkins -for their magnificent and useful gift with :which the City is to bui.l:d . and equip an addition to the tiehita . General Hospital to be used as an Isolation hard. SECTION II That a copy of this resolution together with a copy of the resolution passed by the Board of Aldermen bn this date accepting said gift, be delivered to.'Mr. J. J.
